Stanisław Kosicki (1927 – ?)

Condemned to death for shooting the looter, he took refuge in Masuria, where after taking amnesty and returning to his real name he finished his studies and started work at the Hydrobiological Station in Mikolajki, researching the ecology of Rotifera. His adventures was probably used as a canvas for the movie "Popiół i diamnet" (Ashes and Diamonds) and was described in the autobiographical book "Wojna, wojna, wojenka" (War, War, War)
