On February 11th, 2019, at the Research Station of the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Mikołajki, we hosted Ms Maja Jakubiuk and Mr Jarosław Chmielewski from the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Olsztyn. The purpose of their visit was to get informations about the forest area of the Station as well as its laboratory facilities and educational base from the perspective of the project of establishing a botanical garden under the name “Arboretum in Mikołajki”. The conclusions from the inspection were very positive.
